The Heat (4-2) rallied from 17 points down to take a 1-point lead early in the fourth quarter but couldn’t hold on. Ethan Nessim led Heschel with 14 points.

Jonah Eber scored 25 points, Mason Schwaber added 14 and Jason Prager had 12 to lead the #19 Bulldogs (2-0).

Thomas Ahlstrom had 24 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Jaguars (3-2).

YESHIVA LEAGUE

HAFTR 66 Shaare Torah 57

A 3-point game until the fourth when the #4 Hawks (2-0 League; 6-3 Overall) pulled away to lead by 12 and held on with free throws down the stretch. Jordan Appel led four players in double figures for HAFTR with 21 points, Avi Rokosz added 17, Matthew Jedwab had 14 and Hymie Salem scored 12. Freddie Swaid scored 21 points for the #10 Stars (1-1; 4-2), Jackie Haber added 11 and Eddie Swaid had 10.

The #11 Storm (5-0; 8-1) traveleled to the The Basement where they raced out to a 14-2 lead against the jet-lagged Rams (2-1; 5-4) and were never threatened in winning their fifth straight game.

Magen David 67 Flatbush 31

The #1 Warriors (4-1; 11-1) raced out to a 20-8 lead but then managed just two points in the second quarter as the Falcons (0-3; 0-4) cut the deficit to three at halftime. But it was all Magen David in the second half, including a 24-1 fourth quarter. Albert Nsiri finished with a game-high 18 points and Elliot Dweck scored 13, hitting all six of his free throws.

The Lions (1-2) got their first win of the season, going on the road to beat a sluggish #25 Thunder (1-1; 3-2).
