VARSITY A
The playoff bracket is nearly all set with one regular season game remaining Monday night between North Shore H.A. and HANC.
This year the format was tweaked, with the top three teams in each division qualifying plus the next two records as wild cards. The wildcards will play the two division winners in the quarterfinals.
The top seed in the East is SKA (11-3). If North Shore beats HANC to tie Flatbush at 10-4, the Lions will take 2nd place on a point-differential tiebreaker. The two split their games, but the Lions won by double digits and the Falcons by 3 points.
SAR and Frisch tied atop the West at 13-1. The nod goes to the Sting as a late 3-pointer in their game against Frisch this week made it a 9-point loss and they beat the Cougars by double digits early in the season. 3rd Place in the West is Hillel (6-8).
The wildcards are HAFTR (6-8) and Ramaz (5-9), both from the East.
Ramaz will play SAR in the quarterfinals. HAFTR will play SKA.
If North Shore finishes 2nd in the East, they will play Hillel and Frisch will play Flatbush.
If North Shore loses to HANC and finishes 3rd, the Lions will face Frisch and Flatbush will play Hillel.
VARSITY B
The top 4 teams make the playoffs.
Shulamith (10-0), Ilan (7-2) and SKA (5-5) have the top three spots, and Ilan and SKA will face each other in the semifinals.
Shulamith will play 4th place, which is currently Bruriah (4-6). But if Naaleh (3-6) beats Ilan in the season finale Monday night, the Eagles will overtake the Lightning on a point differential tiebreaker. The two teams split their games this season, with Naaleh winning by 9 and Bruriah by only 4.
