Sure its early, but with the holidays taking over October, the traditional start of the Jewish Hoops America season is happening in September this year.
That would be the Magen David Preseason Tournament, in memory of Elliot Torkieh A’H, which begins Sunday with a full day of 14 games in the Brooklyn school’s two gyms.
Each of the 14 teams, 13 Yeshiva League squads and Heichal, will play two games, with the top eight teams advancing to Tuesday’s quarterfinals. The semifinals will be Thursday and the championship game next Sunday.
