Mesivta 47 Kohelet 44

The Mustangs (5-4) had a big 1st half lead and held on late to avange an earlier loss and snap the Kings’ 8-game win streak. Dov Hirsch led Mesivta with 19 points and Shua Gross had 13 points and 18 rebounds. Asher Kahlon had 16 points for Kohelet (8-2) and Daniel Benjamini added 13.

SOUTHEAST

Katz YHS 61 Ohr HaTorah 53

In a game of streaks, Ohr opened the game up 6-0, gave up 28 of the next 30 points but rallied to make it close at halftime and again in the 4th quarter. Ben Edidin led the #25 Storm (7-7) with 27 points and Haim Elmakies added 17. Yishai Cohen led Ohr HaTorah with 17 points.

WEST

Sound Christian 82 Northwest Yeshiva H.S. 51

Joe Benoliel scored 23 points and Sam Chernicoff had 16 points and 14 rebounds but the Lions (2-5) fell to the top team in their league.

CALIFORNIA

El Camino Real 52 YULA 46

Close game throughout until the #6 Panthers (13-9) lost steam down the stretch.

Faith Baptist 66 Valley Torah 60

Ethan List scored 17 points and Ben Mahgarefteh, Meir Dan and Elad Radaei added 11 each but the #8 Wolfpack (13-6) dropped their fourth straight game.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

Magen David 63 Flatbush 60

Moses Smeke’s fifth 3-pointer of the game beat the buzzer and gave the #1 Warriors (10-1; 23-2) the regular season sweep over the #2 Falcons (12-2; 21-3) after Flatbush had rallied from 19 points down in the 4th quarter. It was Magen David’s third win over their Brooklyn rivals in four tries overall this season but they still need two wins in their final three games to claim the Eastern Conference title. The improbable comeback by Flatbush began when they trailed 53-34 early in the 4th and was capped off by Ronnie Chaaya’s 3-pointer with :27 left, setting the stage for Smeke’s game-winner. For the Warriors, Smeke’s 21 points led four players in double figures. Joshua Chabbott added 16, Mark Sarder had 13 and Jack Haber scored 10. Isaac Cooper led the Falcons with 20 points and Chaaya and Beni Keda scored 13 each.

DRS 44 Hillel 34

The #16 Wildcats (6-5; 9-6) trailed throughout the 1st half but used their press in the 3rd quarter to rally and take control for their third straight win. Aiden Buchbinder led DRS with 15 points. The Heat fell to 6-13, 4-8 in the league.

North Shore H.A. 67 YDE 35

Eli Bokhour scored 14 points, Ben Abiazadeh had 10 points, 12 rebounds and Jordan Zarka had 10 points, 11 rebounds as the #20 Lions (5-5; 7-13) won their third straight game. The Thunder dropped to 4-6 in the league, 4-8 overall.

TABC 77 Kushner 24

The #11 Storm (7-2; 9-4) easily extended their win streak to six games as Shaya Hirsch scored 11 points and Chanan Schultz added 10. The Cobras are now 1-12.
