CALIFORNIA

Kehillah Jewish 62 North Valley Baptist 44

Ittai Kohavi scored 16 points, Zach Berman added 14 and Sam Burns had 13 as the 11th seeded Rams (14-4) won in the opening round of the CIF Central Coast Division 5 playoffs.

Feb. 18

MIDWEST

Ida Crown 71 Islamic Foundation 29

The 3rd seeded Aces (17-4) easily advanced to the IHSA 1A regional semifinals where they will play #5 North Shore Country Day.

Rochelle Zell 51 Schaumburg Christian 22

The 4th seeded Tigers (12-6) advance to the IHSA 1A regional semifinals.

North Shore Country Day 61 Fasman Yeshiva 31

The Yeshiva (6-9) fell in the regional quarterfinals of the IHSA 1A playoffs.

WEST

Yavneh Dallas 53 North Dallas Adventist 42

The #20 Bulldogs (25-5) won their 18th straight game - including three against NDAA - to advance to the TAPPS 3A state semifinals for the second straight year and sixth time in the last seven years. Yavneh won the state championship in 2020. Jordan Dekelbaum led Yavneh with 16 points and Jacob Blank added 14.

CALIFORNIA

Blair 84 Tarbut vTorah 66

The Lions cut a 23-point halftime deficit to 8 midway throught he 4th quarter but could get no closer and fell top seed in the CIFSS Division 5A semifinals. Yonah Light led Tarbut w 29 points and 15 rebounds, Jake Coblentz-Brown had 12 points and 10 rebounds and Graydon Carpet scored 11 points. The Lions did qualify for the state regionals.

Thomas More 49 Kehillah Jewish 45

The Rams (14-5) fell to the #6 seed in the 2nd round of the CIF Central Coast Division 5 playoffs.

Feb. 19

MIDATLANTIC

City School 60 Kohelet 30

Eli Wallace scored 15 points to lead the Kings (11-7) but their fell in the quarterfinals of the Penn Jersey tournament.

GIRLS

Feb. 18

CALIFORNIA

Buena Park 59 Shalhevet 55

Yalee Schwartz scored 27 points and Arielle Grossman added 17 but the #1 Firehawks (27-2) had their 9-game win streak snapped in the CIFSS Division 4AA semifinals. Shalhevet held the top seed to just 17 points in the first half, leading by 10 at the break, but could not hold on. They still qualify for the state regionals.
