The #8 Rams (14-5) couldn’t pull off another upset of the Sharks, falling in the quarterfinals of the District 3A-13 playoffs.

Westwood Christian 82 Hebrew Academy Miami 76

The #19 Warriors (11-11) let a 7-point lead slip away in the final three minutes and lost in the quarterfinals of the District 2A-16 playoffs.

WEST

Beren Houston 63 Family Christian 38

Ariel Diner and Elie Gelman each scored 12 points for the Stars (13-3).

Yes, the Stars (14-3) played two. Ernie Banks would be proud. Elie Gelman and Ariel Diner each scored 20 points and Robert Gateono scored 11.

In their first game as JHA’s top ranked team, the Wildcats (11-2) trailed by one at halftime but pulled away in the 3rd quarter en route to their eighth straight win. Ezra Dubin led DRS with 22 points, Ari Ivry added 13 and Isaac Solomon had 11. AJ Solinsky and Kevin Levy each scored 12 points for the #16 Hawks (6-6; 8-10). DRS can clinch 1st place in the East with a win at home tonight in their regular season finale against Flatbush.

Hillel 49 Kushner 48

The #17 Heat (4-5; 6-6) rallied from seven down to stay in the playoff hunt. Eric Cytryn led Hillel with 13 points and Max Rishty and Moses Smeke each had 11. Mitch Liebov scored 27 points, including eight 3-pointers, but the Cobras (5-7) saw their postseason hopes take a hit.

MTA 66 Heschel 42

Tzvi Rudman scored 19 points, Dani Wolk added 14 and donny Book had 12 as the #21 Lions (6-3) rallied from a 6-point halftime deficit. Isaiah Sokolick scored 15 points and Aden Trubowitz had 14 lead the #24 Heat (3-7; 4-7).
