The Lions from Jerusalem rallied from 10 down in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the #25 Bulldogs 14-2 in the 4th, to claim their first ever title. Tournament MVP Dan Elimelech led Boyar with 18 points, Eran Levints added 14 and Itay Zelbuch had 13. Yavneh (7-3) had won their first six games of the tournament, including a win over Boyar in round-robin play. Jacob Blank led the Bulldogs with 13 points.

MIDATLANTIC

Jewish Day School 46 Mekor Chaim 23

The #15 Lions were led by Ben Bass’ 11 pts and 9 rebounds and a stifling defense that held the #24 Cyclones (4-1) to a third of what they were averaging. Sam Sharp and David Fritz added 10 each for JDS.

CALIFORNIA

AGBU 60 YULA 54

Yishai Rosenblatt scored 18 points and Josh Barak added 13 for the #6 Panthers (10-5).

YESHIVA LEAGUE

SAR 66 DRS 16

What was expected to be one of the best regular season games of the year turned into a rout as the #3 Sting (6-0; 13-2) outscored the #4 Wildcats (5-1; 14-1) 20-2 in the 2nd quarter and 36-8 in the second half to snap DRS’ 14-game win streak. It was the seventh straight win for SAR, who were led by Andrew Helft’s 17 points..

Frisch 61 TABC 48

Alex Zakheim scored 23 points and Isaac Schiffman added 18 to lead the #10 Cougars (5-1; 7-3). For the #21 Storm (3-2; 3-5), Tzvi Schreiber had 16 points and Netanel Benloulou 10.

JEC 71 Kushner 38

Akiva Sapieka had 13 points and 15 rebounds, Michoel Cornick added 12 points and 12 rebounds and Yosef Heller scored 11 points to lead the Thunder (4-3; 5-5). Coby Brand had 11 points and Sammy Artman added 10 for the Cobras (0-7; 1-9).

Berman H.A. 72 Model 53

Asher Falk scored 25 points and Gabey Margulies added 14 to lead the Cougars (2-7).

MIDWEST

Fasman Yeshiva 74 MCC Prep 24

Elya Vilenski and JH Kraitman each scored 12 points and Kraitman grabbed 15 rebounds for The Yeshiva (1-1).

YESHIVA LEAGUE

Ohr Yisroel 56 MTA 52

The Flames (3-5) dealt a major blow to the Lions playoff chances as MTA drops to 1-5. Reuben Rozehzadeh and Moshe Alexander each scored 14 points for Ohr Yisroel. Avraham Rivkin had 14 points for MTA and Gavriel Rudman added 11.

YDE 39 Waterbury Yeshiva 33

Jackie Yeddid scored 11 points and Ikey Greenstein added 10 to lead the Thunder (3-4; 4-6). The Wolfpack dropped to 2-4.

Rambam 45 Magen Abraham 41

Yaakov Schaffran scored 20 points and Yaacov Lazar chipped in 18 as the Ravens improve to 2-4. The Kings are 0-9, 0-7 in the league.
