PRELIMINARY ROUND

BOYS

Shalhevet 55 Frisch 48

The Firehawks (2-0) led by as many as 21 before holding off the Cougars’ rally. Avi Halpert led Shalhevet with 16 points and Nathan Sellam had 14. For Frisch, Alex Zakheim had 12 points and Isaac Schiffman finished with 11.

Maimonides 70 Berman H.A. 59

Raanan Gewurz scored 19 points, Nathan Weinstock added 16 and Eitan Bessler had 14 as the M-Cats (1-1) held off a fourth quarter rally. The Cougars (2-0) started strong, leading by seven after the first quarter , but were then outscored 42-18 over the next 16 minutes. They did mount a furious comeback to get within three but a layup and a Bessler 3-pointer pushed the lead to eight and they never got any closer. Erez Epstein led Berman with 21 points, Asher Falk had 11 and Alex August scored 10.

H.A. Miami 70 Ramaz 57

Ben Farkas scored 23 points, Daniel Pollack added 15 and Alon Perez had 12 to lead the Warriors (1-1). Milan Kushner led the Rams (2-2) with 14 points and Eden Bracha had 11.

SAR 69 Valley Torah 68 OT

Akiva Schanzer scored 20 points and Andrew Helft added 19 to lead the Sting (5-1). Noam Mayouhas (33 points) and Johny Dan (27) scored nearly all the points for the Wolfpack (1-1).

YULA 46 TABC 32

The Panthers (1-1) outscored the Storm (0-2) 26-7 in the second half.

Berman H.A. 60 Maimonides 46

Jenny Kagan led the Cougars (1-1) with 18 points and Maya August 16. For the M-Cats (0-2), Natalie Neusner scored 18 points and Leah Kaplan scored 12.

Shalhevet 51 SAR 21

Yalee Schwartz scored 17 points and Arielle Grossman added 16 and the Firehawks (2-0) were never threatened after scoring the game’s first 16 points. Megan Horowitz led the Sting (1-1) with 9 points.

Frisch 47 H.A. Miami 32

Samantha Pruzansky and Annabel Silverman each scored 12 points and Sydney Weinblut added 10 for the Cougars (2-0). Eliana Wolfson led the Warriors (0-2) with 14 points and Sophia Lurie scored 10.

YULA 39 Ramaz 31

Kira Heumann paced the Panthers (2-0) with 19 points.
