Jon Rosen scored 29 points and Yaakov Meister added 11 for the Cyclones (2-0).

The Rams (2-1) closed the 2nd quarter on an 18-4 run to lead by seven at halftime and were up by double digits nearly the entire 2nd half. Mikel Biton led Posnack with 17 points, Eidan Weiss added 11 and Zack Kaplan and Gideon Greenberg each had 10.

The Eagles led by only six at halftime but poured it on after that to win their season opener.

Jordan Dekelbaum scored 14 points to lead three players in double figures for the Bulldogs (1-1). Joseph Schwartz added 14 points and Daniel Schick scored 10.

The Jaguars (2-3) opened the game up 21-3 and were never threatened by the Stars (0-6).

In pool play at the West Valley Varsity Basketball Tip-Off Classic, Avi Halpert led the Firehawks (8-0) with 35 points and Aiden Bitran added 13.

YULA 79 Larchmont Charter 34

Yoni Holender’s 12 points led five players in double figures for the Panthers (8-3). Yishai Rosenblatt and Adriel Williams each added 11 and Eli Edri and Noam Abramson scored 10 each.

Valley Torah 68 Lancaster Baptist 41

Ben Mahgarehfteh scored 18 points, Eli Hayun added 15 and Meir Kapenstein had 14 as the Wolfpack (7-2) won their third straight game.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

HAFTR 35 YDE 34

Peter Drucker missed two free throws late in the game but made up for it with the game-winning layup with :00.4 left. They were the only points the Hawks (2-2; 3-7) scored in the final 4:20 as the Thunder battled back from five points down to briefly hold the late lead.

Frisch 58 MTA 38

Isaac Schiffman scored 22 points and Alex Zakheim added 10 as the Cougars (4-1; 6-3) coasted after opening the game with an 18-2 lead. Gavriel Rudman led MTA (1-3) with 7 points.

Ramaz 60 JEC 52

Evan Glasberg scored 23 points and Milan Kushner added 17 to lead the Rams (3-1; 6-6) to their third straight win. The Thunder dropped to 3-3 in the league, 4-5 overall.
