The Panthers (7-2) needed overtime for a second straight game to beat the hosts for the championship. The Jaguars (3-1) came out strong to start the game leading 27-20 at the end of the 1st quarter. YULA stormed back to take a 7-point lead at halftime. The Panthers were up the entire 2nd half before 3-pointers by Ben Geffner helped the Jaguars force overtime. Yishai Rosenblatt led YULA with 31 points, Josh Barak added 11 and Alex Gabbay had 10. Michael Galeck had 19 points for deToledo, Geffner added 16 and Max Creditor scored 12.

Milken 66 Canoga Park 38

Evan Shaham scored 11 points to lead a balanced attack as the Wildcats (3-1) took 3rd Place at the tournament.

Avi Halpert had 14 points and Oz Shalom and Aiden Bitran added 12 each to lead the Firehawks (7-0).

In the consolation bracket of the Luis Macias Tournament, Isaac Joelson hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to avenge a loss in last year’s sectional playoffs. Joelson finished with 20 points.

Hawks now 0-2.

El Capitan 97 San Diego Jewish Academy 42

Lions (0-2) got into a 26-2 hole in the 1st quarter and never recovered.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

Flatbush 60 Frisch 44

The Falcons used a 24-11 second quarter to take control as they overcame 36 points from the Cougars’ Alex Zakheim. Beni Keda led Flatbush (2-1; 3-2) with 13 points, Solly Gadeh added 11 and Sam Jemal had 10. Frisch is now 3-1 in the league, 6-3 overall.

North Shore H.A. 54 HAFTR 29

The Lions (5-0; 8-2) became the league’s first team to five wins as they pulled away in the 3rd after leading by 9 at halftime. The Hawks fell to 1-7, 0-2 in the league.

HANC 52 Magen Abraham 51

The Kings (0-4; 0-6) trailed 52-41 with just under 4:00 left and scored the next 10 points but their shot to win it rimmed out at the buzzer. Armaan Omidi led the Hurricanes (1-4; 1-6) with 24 points and Alex Brand added 12.

JEC 60 Heschel 51 OT

The Thunder rallied from four points down in the final 1:15 of regulation on a pair of Michoel Cornick baskets and then dominated in overtime. Cornick led JEC (2-2; 3-4) with 24 points and 13 rebounds and Gavi Walzman scored 11 points. The Heat dropped to 1-3.

Ramaz 49 Hillel 42

The Rams (2-1; 5-6) saw a 13-point lead drop to one but pulled away in the final minutes. Milan Kushner led Ramaz with 26 points.

YDE 28 Rambam 26

The Thunder (2-2; 3-2) squeaked by in evening up their league record. Ravens now 0-2.
