Donna Klein Jewish Academy 75 Katz YHS 73

Sammy Siemens scored 32 points and Truce Levine added 15 to lead the Eagles (6-5). The #13 Storm (7-4) started out in a 20-point deficit on Senior Night and could not dig all the way out.. Jonathan Levy led Katz with 22 points and Asher Rosen added 18.

Jaguars are now 2-8

CALIFORNIA

Valley Torah 73 St. Monica 42

Johny Dan scored 26 points and David Paz added 20 as the #9 Wolfpack (22-2) won their 10th straight game.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

SAR 59 Frisch 48

The visiting #6 Sting (7-1) started horribly, down 11-0 midway through the 1st, but finished strong in knocking off the #4 Cougars (7-2; 10-3) for their fifth straight win.. Akiva Shanzer led SAR with 16 points and Moshe sprgel added 10. Alex Zakheim paced Frisch with 15 points.

Kushner def Ohr Yisroel

The Cobras (5-5) got back to .500 and again hold the final playoff spot in the West. The Flames dropped to 1-8.

Hyman Brand HA 53 Midland Adventist 51

Shir-el Rudnick and Aviva Clauer each scored 20 points to lead the Rams (5-1)..

Maimonides 75 Cristo Rey 70

Josh Saks’ 21 points led five players in double figures for the M-Cats (3-1). Oren Spira added 12 points, Eitan Bessler had 11 and Jacob Canner and Ranaan Gewurz scored 10 each.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

Ramaz 40 Waterbury Yeshiva 39

Julius Rubinstein scored 16 points and Caleb Rosenfeld added 10 as the #5 Rams (7-2; 10-3) held on to snap the Wolfpack’s 5-game winning streak in a game that doubled as a league contest and the opener of Ramaz’s Sam Gyenes Tournament. The Wolfpack are 6-5.

HAFTR def North Shore HA

The #17 Hawks (7-8) dominated from the outset in the opening round of the Sam Gyenes Tournament at Ramaz.

Waterbury Yeshiva 64 North Shore HA 61

The Wolfpack (7-5) went ahead on a jumper from the lane with :12 left in the consolation game of the Sam Gyenes Tournament. The Stars are now 3-10 and have lost six straight games..

HAFTR 50 Ramaz 45

The host #5 Rams (10-4) failed to score in the extra session until the final :25 as the #17 Hawks (8-8) won the Sam Gyenes Tournament .
