Jason Prager scored 21 points to lead four players in double figures for the Bulldogs (30-3) as they won their 17th straight game to reach the final of the TAPPS 3A playoffs. Jonah Eber added 13 points, Mason Schwaber had 12 and Tyler Winton scored 11 for Yavneh. The win avenged a loss in last year’s semifinal. The Bulldogs previously reached the final in 2018.

Beren Houston 56 Macedonian Christian 50

In the semifinals of the TAPPS 1A playoffs, the Stars (19-3) rode Noah Diner’s 26 points to their 10th straight win to reach a state final for the second time.

Fasman Yeshiva 46 Ida Crown 42

The Yeshiva’s third win over the rival Aces (13-10) this season was the biggest, coming in the IHSA 1A regional final and sending them to the sectional playoffs for the first time in school history. Ari Schuman led the way with 17 points and Dani Stein added 12. The Yeshiva will face Chicago Hope in the sectional semifinals on Tuesday.

Yavneh Dallas 50 Rosehill Christian 35

The Bulldogs (31-3) became the first Jewish school in the country to win a state championship, taking the TAPPS 3A title in decisive fashion. Jonah Eber scored 14 points and Mason Schwaber added 12 as Yavneh won its 18th straight game.

Trinity 50 Beren Houston 33

The Stars (19-4) fell in the final of the TAPPS 1A playoffs in a game that was much closer than the final score indicated. Beren was within one point at the end of the third quarter but managed just two points in the fourth as the Titans put the game away at the free throw line.

Mile High Academy 34 Denver Jewish Day 25

The Tigers (17-5) fell in in the championship game of the District 8-1A playoffs but still advance to the 1A regionals for the fourth time in school history.

In the MIAA North Division 4 quarterfinals, the #7 seeded M-Cats (17-6) squandered a 7-point 4th quarter lead and then a 4-point lead in the final minute, giving up the tying basket with :00.2 left in regulation. In the extra frame, Maimo’s offense abandoned them as they managed only two points until a late 3-pointer when the outcome had already been decided. It was their third loss of the season to Snowden, the #2 seed. Danny Salouki led the M-Cats with 15 points, Jesse Spear added 12 and Jon Rears had 12.
