The tournament had scheduled the championship game for 6:30 pm Friday. In order to play in the tournament, knowing they would not play in the championship because of the scheduled time, Yavneh was placed in the more difficult bracket. It included an Oklahoma team that was defending champ of the Southwest Preparatory Conference. The pairings didn't matter as Yavneh won all three games. The final remained as scheduled and the Bulldogs went home for Shabbat, knowing they likely would have won if they'd been able to play.
