Shishi Abramson led the #6 Firehawks (11-7) with 21 points against her old team. The #9 Panthers are 12-9.
YESHIVA LEAGUE
Arly Missry led the Invaders (8-5) with 16 points and Danielle Shalom had 15. The Cobras are 5-7 but still holding onto last playoff spot in the West.
The 38th annual Scott Satran z’l Memorial Tournament tips off Thursday night at HAFTR.
The host Hawks will be joined by six other Yeshiva League teams - DRS, HANC, Hillel, JEC, Magen David and North Shore H.A. - and five teams from around the country, Atlanta Jewish Academy, Berman H.A., H.A. Miami, Jewish Culture and Mekor Chaim.
Half the tournament participants are ranked in the JHA National Top 25 - Berman and DRS, tied at #5, #10 Jewish Culture, #11 Hillel, #14 Magen David and #22 North Shore.
Each team will play three preliminary games Thursday and Friday to determine seeding. Saturday night games will determine Tiers 1 and 2, with each tier’s quarterfinals, semifinals and finals on Sunday.
