Aiden Botran scored 24 points and Sam Jacobson added 12 but the #1 Firehawks (14-6) fell in the consolation semifinals of the St. Francis Holiday Hoopfest.
The Lions (7-1) were missing two starters in their third game at the Charlie Wilkins Memorial Tournament and suffered their first loss of the season. Jake Coblentz-Brown scored 14 points and Eli Feinberg added 12.
YESHIVA LEAGUE
Eli Braha’s 11 points included the 1,000 of his career as the #11 Heat (8-3;12-6) jumped out to a 16-0 lead and were never threatened in winning their fourth straight game. Bruce Epstein led Hillel with 12 points and Bobby Sigoura also scored 11. Ben Leeds scored 13 points for the Cobras (3-10).
