Berman HA 50 Yeshiva Mekor Chaim 40

Erez Epstein paced the Cougars (3-3) with 18 points as they turned back the Cyclones.

SOUTH

Weber Atlanta 64 Atlanta Jewish Academy 47

Caleb Ouanounou scored 23 points and Harry Kitey added 21 to lead the Rams to the season-opening win.

WEST

Yavneh Dallas 54 Leadership Prep 49

Noah Ohayon scored 16 points, Hillel Baynash added 15 and Ben Rael had 14 to lead the Bulldogs (3-1). Zachary Pollack, assistant coach and noted author of The Kennel Report, got a locker room victory dousing after filling in for head coach David Zimmerman.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

DRS 60 Magen David 53

The Wildcats (1-1) trailed by 12 with 3:10 left in the 3rd when they went on a 15-0 run to take command. Ari Ivry led DRS with 28 points. Jack Cohen’s 20 points paced the Warriors (0-1 League; 2-1 overall) and Asher Melamed added 16 points and 13 rebounds..

HAFTR 48 North Shore HA 45

The Hawks (1-0; 1-4) rallied from a 10-point 3rd quarter deficit. Kevin Levy led HAFTR with 18 points, including five 3-pointers, and AJ Solinsky scored eight key points down the stretch. Ben Falack led the Stars (1-1) with 14 points and Ethan Zuckerman and Ari Tuerack each added 12.

The Jaguars lost their season opener.

WEST

Shelton 49 Yavneh Dallas 28

Maddy Winton scored six points to lead the Bulldogs (1-1), who could not overcome a 28-14 halftime deficit.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

SAR 44 Kushner 19

Samantha Horowitz and Rebecca Brody each scored nine points to lead the Sting (1-1).

HAFTR 63 Flatbush 22

Megan Spivak scored 17 points and Elisabeth Gurtman added 15 points on five 3-pointers as the Hawks (2-2 overall) won the league opener for both teams.

Heschel 43 HANC 41 OT

Sophie Rasol scored 18 points and Laila Posner added eight but the Heat needed extra time to win the season opener for both teams.

Liberty Christian 55 Yavneh Dallas 52

The Bulldogs (2-1) rallied from an 18-4 deficit to lead by four midway through the 3rd quarter but could not maintain the lead. The loss broke Yavneh’s 27-game regular season win streak in Texas since they fell to Liberty Christian in November 2019. Ben Rael scored 16 points, Jordan Dekelbaum added 12 and Noah Ohayon had 11.

Beren Houston 58 Bay Area Christian 49

Elie Gelman scored 24 points and Ariel Diner added 19 to lead the Stars (2-0).

CALIFORNIA

Valley Torah 70 St. Genevieve 45

Johnny Dan scored 18 points, Noah Mayouhas added 15 and both had nine rebounds and five assists to lead the Wolfpack (2-0).

YESHIVA LEAGUE

Frisch 63 Ohr Yisroel 40

Isaac Schiffman led the Cougars with 12 points and Chananyah Mondrow added 11 as Frisch (2-0 League; 5-1 Overall) spoiled the first-ever home game for Ohr Yisroel (0-2). Rami Rozehzadeh paced the Flames with 21 points.

North Shore HA 52 Rambam 31

Ethan Zuckerman scored 18 points and Ben Falack added 15 and the visiting Stars opened the game with a 20-5 run and were never threatened in the . season opener for both teams.

Fuchs Mizrachi 54 Yeshiva High of Cleveland 24

Ephraim Blau scored 10 points and Ari Jacoby had 9 points and 9 rebounds and the Mayhem raced out to a 34-9 halftime lead en route to the victory.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

Frisch 73 JEC 57

The Cougars (1-0 League; 4-1 overall) jumped out to a 15-point 1st quarter lead and stayed up by double digits nearly the entire game. For the Thunder (0-3; 1-3), Yosef Heller had a game-high 34 points, including nine 3-pointers, and Akiva Hess scored 12 points.

YDE 88 HANC 39

Eddie Beda scored 18 points on six 3-pointers, Isaac Tawil added 17 points and Victor Guindi had 10 for the Thunder (2-0; 2-2), who opened the game with a 31-9 first quarter and were never threatened. Daniel Zar led the Hurricanes with 14 points in their season opener.

HA Miami 46 Posnack Jewish Day 37

Yakira Wolfson scored 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Warriors (2-3) to the title. Skye Mawardi had 15 points for the Rams (1-1) and Amanda Kaplan added 14.

Katz YHS 51 Hillel Miami 10

Shoshana Stadlan scored 17 points and Emma Schenker added 10 as the Storm (1-1) took 3rd place.
