Albert Nsiri scored 33 points, Michael Natkin added 19 and Ray Jajati had 11 as the top seeded Warriors (7-0) cruised into the championship game. Josh Schultz scored 17 points for the 12th seeded Rams and Joel Brandwein added 15.


Rochelle Zell   67    DeToledo    61

Brian Silverstein scored 22 points and Lee Farkas added 16 to lead the #11 Tigers (3-0) into the championship game. Liam Evenhaim scored 21 points for the Jaguars (2-1) Dylan Esulin added 12 and Aidan Waldman had 10.


Rambam    63      YULA     59

Aaron Azose poured in 34 points and Ethan Aaron added 14 as the Ravens (6-2) won in the consolation bracket. Joseph Sassoon scored 15 points and Nicky Schlanger had 13 for the Panthers (1-2).


Hillel Miami    52     Milken    35

Alan Berkman scored 24 points, Yaniv Assraf added 14 and Aaron Ben Shmuel had 13 to put the Lions (2-1) into the 5th Place game.


Tier 2

Zev Katz scored 12 points and Zach Gross had 11 to lead the Lions (2-1) into the Tier 2 title game. Ethan Morris led the Maccabees (1-2) with 14 points, Nossy Orgel scored 12 and Simcha Osdoba added 10.


Flatbush    50      Fasman Yeshiva   48

Eddie Lincer's two free throws with :02 left were the difference as the Falcons (4-3) reach the Tier 2 title game. Lincer finished with 14 points and Jack Rosow scored 15 for Flatbush. Doni Miretzky scored 22 points for The Yeshiva (1-2).


Kushner     68   Atlanta Jewish Academy   27

Gabe Plotsker scored 20 points and Jake Indyk added 14 to pace the Cobras (2-5) in the Tier 2 consolation bracket.


Katz YHS     61    Kohelet    23

Brandon Munter scored 13 points and Jacob Shulman added 10 for the Storm (1-2), who will play Kushner in the Tier 2 5th Place game.

Drew Greenbaum hit a free throw with :01.3 left as the Sting (4-2) overcame a furious comeback by the Storm (2-4).

Matthew Jedwab led the Hawks (4-4) with 11 points.

Akiva Kamornick scored 16 points and Uzi Mermelstein added 13 as the Wolfpack (1-3) salvaged a game at the tourney. David Lurie led the Warriors (2-2) with 15 points.




Cooper, Glouberman tourneys this weekend

Get ready for an overload of Jewish Hoops America action this weekend when two of the biggest events of the season vie for attention.

Shalhevet’s Steven Glouberman Tournament in LA and the Cooper Invitational in Memphis will feature 75 games starting Wednesday night and ending Sunday.

At Glouberman, the action starts Wednesday night and preliminary games continue on Thursday. Once the seeds are determined, quarterfinals will be Friday.

Joining the host Firehawks in the boys tournament will be Frisch, HAFTR, HA Miami, MTA, Ramaz, SAR, TABC and Valley Torah.

In the girls’ tournament, Shalhevet will compete with Frisch, HAFTR, HA Miami, Katz YHS, Kushner, Northwest Yeshiva HS, Ramaz, SAR and YULA.

At Cooper, the opening round games Thursday will determine who makes Tier 1.
