Nate Cohen scored 14 points, Gabe Moshayev added 13 and Yitzy Manne had 11 as the Ravens (3-8; 3-10) swept the season series with the Suns (1-7; 1-9). Joe Dweck led Narkai with 14 points.

Ramaz hosts Sam Gyenes Tournament

December 3, 2025

The annual Sam Gyenes z’l Basketball Tournament tips off at Ramaz on Thursday.

The tournament was established in memory of Sam Gyenes in 1987, after he died that summer following his sophomore year at Ramaz.

The host Rams will be joined by boys and girls teams from H.A. Miami, Maimonides, North Shore H.A. and Yavneh Dallas, the girls team from Magen David and the boys team from Jewish Culture.

The boys tournament features five teams ranked in the Jewish Hoops America Top 25 - #2 North Shore, #11 Ramaz, #14 Jewish Culture, #22 H.A. Miami and #25 Yavneh.

Each team will play three preliminary games Thursday and Friday to determine the four semifinalists. Semifinals, 5th place games and the championship games will be played Saturday night.
