Zevi Samet scored 16 points and Yehuda Mirwis added 15, including the 3-pointer to send the game to overtime, as the #11 Storm (3-0 league; 6-1 overall) handed the #1 Warriors their first loss of the season. Samet had two 3-pointers in the final minute of regulation - when TABC overcame a 7-point deficit - and added another in overtime. Elliot Dweck led Magen David (2-1; 9-1) with 14 points and Teddy Cohen added 13.

Zach Brown led the #4 Wildcats (3-1; 3-2) with 19 points.

Rambam 60 Magen Abraham 34

Shmuel Siegel scored 32 points and Daniel Steiner added 11 to pace the Ravens.

The #7 M-Cats trailed by seven late in the first quarter before a 35-8 run put the game out of reach. Eytan Pomper led Maimo with 20 points and Jesse Spear added 16. Jacob Stein had 17 points for the Warriors.

The teams were tied at 47 before Daniel Totaiv fueled a 9-0 YULA run to put the #6 Panthers in control. Brendan Lasko paced the #25 Storm with 14 points and Ikey Betesh had 12 on four 3-pointers.

Magen David solidified its hold on the top spot with its second straight title at the Cooper Invitational in Memphis. The Warriors beat upstart Shaare Torah in the title game. The Stars have moved up to #10, their highest ranking ever.

Shalhevet, YULA, Frisch, Maimonides, HA Miami and Katz YHS will start their seasons this weekend at Shalhevet’s Glouberman Tournament, where all nine teams are in the rankings.

Joining the Top 25 - or Top 27 with the logjam at the bottom - are Fasman, off their impressive 5th Place finish at Cooper, Waterbury Yeshiva, Valley Torah and JEC. Dropping out are Flatbush and JCHS San Francisco.
