Alex August scored 38 points, including 8-of-14 from beyond the arc, and Yaacov Lesnoy added 13 points to lead the Cougars (3-3).

SOUTHEAST

H.A. Miami 61 Hillel Miami 41

Julius Feldman and Caleb Gdanski each scored 17 points to lead the Warriors (1-3).

Parkridge Christian 72 Donna Klein Jewish Academy  36

Eagles fall in their season opener.

Immaculate LaSalle 65 Posnack Jewish Day  39

Michael Wortman and Marc Mann each scored 10 points for the Rams (2-4).

Cooper Memphis 71 Kingsbury 60

Jack Kampf scored 28 points, Eli Weisfogel added 17 and Benny Freiden had 16 to lead the Macs (6-4).

The Panthers are 0-5.

Yakov Liberman’s 12 points led four players in double figures for the Firehawks (4-1). Benjamin Dweck added 11 points and Sam Jacobson and Jake Blank each had 10.

deToledo 54 Canoga Park  41

The host Jaguars opened their season with a pool-play win in the deToledo Winter Invitational.

Valley Torah  67 Glendale 54

Joey Victor’s 3-pointer at the buzzer capped a rally from 12 down in the final 3 minutes for the Wolfpack (3-2). Dvir Assayag Raham led Valley Torah with 17 points, Meir Dan added 14 and Adam Bouzaglou had 12. Victor finished with 9 points.

St. Margaret’s Episcopal 82 Tarbut vTorah  61

Ari Varon scored 24 points for the Lions in their season opener and Jon Groner had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

El Cajon Valley 50 San Diego Jewish Academy  47

Lions dropped their season opener.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

Magen David 61 Waterbury Yeshiva 34

Jacob Chami and Eddie Braha each scored 12 points, Solly Hara added 11 and Sammy Chira had 10 to lead the Warriors (4-0; 9-3) to their fourth straight win. The Wolfpack fall to 2-4.

NORTHEAST

SAR 60 Barrack H.A.  31

The Cougars traveled from the Philly suburbs and fell in their season opener. Liv Solomon paced the Sting (9-0) with 21 points, Ava Cohen added 18 and Nava Bousbib had 12. Mikayla Trajtenberg had 21 points for Barrack.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

North Shore h.A. 71 Kushner 33

Dina Levian had a triple double with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, Dillan Haghighat scored 24 points and Joelle Loloi added 12 points on four 3-pointers as the Lions (3-0; 5-2) won their fourth straight game. The Cobras are 0-6.

Frisch 61 SKA 42

The game was tied at 31 with just over 3 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter but the Cougars (5-0; 9-1) went on a 27-3 run to take control and win their third straight game. Izzy Nadtrich led Frisch with 30 points and Zoey Levy added 16. Leah Sicklick had 14 as the Sonics (4-1) suffered their first loss.

Shilo Kahan scored 27 points to lead the Lions (4-3) to their fourth straight win.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

MTA 44 Hillel 40

Efraim Avramov led the Lions (3-3) with 12 points and Gavi Engel and Andi Richman added 11 each. Bruce Epstein scored 18 for the Heat (1-2; 5-5).

Ramaz 48 TABC 30

The visiting Rams (5-1; 7-5) raced out to a 20-2 lead and the Storm (1-3; 2-6) could never get closer than 6 points. Big day for initials NH - Noah Hiltzik led Ramaz with 15 points and Naftali Hochstein had 13 for TABC.

Noah Hiltzik led the Rams (4-1; 6-5) with 12 points. The Flames are 0-3.

SAR 67 Kushner 41

Ari Halpert’s 14 points led a balanced attack for the Sting (4-1; 10-3). The Cobras are 2-4.

North Shore H.A. 53 HANC 37

Benji Levian scored 15 points and Charlie Sassoon and Andrew Kohanim added 13 each to power the Lions (3-1; 11-2) on the road. The Hurricanes are now 3-4, 1-3 in the league.

Waterbury Yeshiva 48 Rambam 39

Yechiel Benayon led the Wolfpack (2-3) with 22 points and Nave Ben David added 11. Nate Cohen had 11 points for the Ravens (2-5; 2-7).

Mia Form scored 24 points to lead the Rams (2-4, 3-7) and Rae Meyer added 12. The Hawks (4-3) were led by Olivia Weinrib with 8 points.
