#13 JEC 68 #20 Yeshiva of Greater Washington 52

Aaron Rozehzadeh’s 22 points led four players in double figures for the Thunder (2-2). Izzy Kay added 13 points, Yoni Hill had 11 and Eli Krause scored 10. Akiva Ravin led the Knights (0-1) with 27 points and Yaakov Radner had 23.

#14 Jewish Day School 53 #19 Maimonides 45

The Lions (1-0) rallied from 10 points down in the 3rd quarter. Dylan Shank led JDS with 13 points, Micah Goodrich scored 11 and Cyrus Blumenthal had 10. Amiel Jotkowitz and Itai Winograd each scored 10 for the M-Cats (0-1).

#18 Cooper Memphis 47 #15 Fasman Yeshiva 45

Benny Freiden’s floater in the lane with :04 left won it for the host Macs (3-1). Eli Weisfogel led Cooper with 14 points and Freiden added 12. Chaim Zahtz paced The Yeshiva (0-1) with 20 points and Srulie Lebedinsky added 19.

Aden Ben-Shmuel scored 15 points and Mathew Furer added 14 for the Rams (1-0). Simon Alloul led the Heat with 15 points and Daniel Levy scored 11.

The Wildcats dominated from the outset, led by Grayson Coleman with 15 points, Ethan Frank with 12 and Dinn Duvdevani with 10.

Alex August had 34 points for the Cougars (1-0), Gabey Margulies added 15 and Judah Singer had 11. For the Macs (3-1), Jonah Siegel scored 20 points, Eli Weisfogel added 15 and Jack Kampf had 10.

Yitz Bennett led the Wildcats (2-1) with 36 points, Gabe Spodek added 21 and Elisha Tsaidi had 11. For the Lions (1-1), Cyrus Blumenthal scored 31 points and Dylan Shank had 14.

Maurice Chehebar scored 15 points, Abe Tobias added 14 and Bruce Epstein had 10 as the Heat (2-2) rallied from a double digit first half deficit. Michael Schnur led the Thunder (2-3) with 19 points and Aaron Rozehzadeh added 12.

Yonatan Faber scored 14 points and Akiva Borgen added 12 to lead the Storm (1-0). Ronan Ousley had 18 points and Nosson Lifchitz 13 or the Tigers (0-1).

Meir Dan led the Wolfpack (1-0) with 17 points, Dvir Assayag Raham added 11 and Adam Sakoff had 10. Jacob Salem scored 14 points for the Hawks (1-3).

Solly Hara hit two free throws with :04.1 left to give the Warriors (4-1) the win. Hara led Magen David with 13 points and Solly Movazeb added 11. Toby Levy led the Thunder (0-1) with 12 points and Yaacov Perez scored 10.

Charlie Sassoon scored 33 points to lead the Lions (6-1). Nir Ovaknin had 24 points for the Storm (0-1), Jordan Kogan added 12 and Ilan Attias scored 10.

Ari Halpert scored 18 points to lead the Sting (5-1).

Freshman Ness Assouline’s put-back at the buzzer gave the host Firehawks (2-0) the win. Sam Jacobson led Shalhevet with 23 points. Emanuel Kushner had 15 points for the Rams (3-3), Alon Sidi added 12 and Stanley Cayre had 10.

Dillan Haghighat led the Lions (1-1) with 27 points and Dina Levian had 10 points, 10 rebounds.

Shira Abramson led the Panthers (1-1) with 23 points. Lili Hanan had 11 points for the Falcons (2-2).

In the third game between these two teams already in the young season, Max Weiss led the Sting (4-1) with 19 points. The loss snapped a 4-game win streak for the Falcons (5-2), who were led by Oliver Abitbol’s 14 points.

Frisch 55 Jewish Culture 48

Isaac Stepner led the Cougars (2-0) with 19 points. Shilo Kahan had 19 for the Lions (0-1).

Shalhevet 59 H.A. Miami 42

Yakov Liberman scored 21 points and Sam Jacobson added 11 for the host Firehawks (1-0). The Warriors (0-1) were led by Caleb Gdanski with 11 points.

Ramaz 52 YULA 45

Stanley Cayre led the Rams with 19 points and Asaf Seinfeld added 11. Kobi Mahler had 16 points for the Panthers (0-1).

Ava Cohen scored 22 points, Nava Bousbib added 14 and Liv Solomon had 10 for the Sting (2-0).

The Firehawks won their season opener behind 15 points from Sara Edwards, 13 from Marielle Bitran and 11 from Gabriella Ackerman. Shana Strohli had 25 points for the Warriors (0-1) and Eli Wolfson added 15.

North Shore H.A. 48 YULA 44

Dillan Haghighat scored 22 points to lead the Lions (1-0). Shira Abramson led the Panthers (0-1) with 20 points and Tamar Berkowitz had 10.

Glouberman Tournament 2025

The 11th annual Steve Glouberman Z’L Basketball Tournament tips off Wednesday at Shalhevet.

Joining the host Firehawks in both the boys and girls brackets are Flatbush, Frisch, H.A. Miami, Ramaz, SAR and YULA. North Shore H.A. and Katz YHS round out the 9-team girls bracket. The 8-team boys bracket includes Jewish Culture.

Each team will play two preliminary games on Wednesday and Thursday to determine seeding. There will be a girls play-in game for the 8th seed on Thursday night.

The girls quarterfinals and semifinals and the boys quarterfinals are on Friday, with the girls final and boys semis and final on Saturday night.

Jack Kampf scored 30 points to lead the Macs (2-0) and Eli Weisfogel added 13.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

HAFTR 54 Rambam 43

In the regular season opener for both teams, the Hawks (1-0; 1-2) led by 14 at the half then weathered a comeback by the Ravens (0-1; 0-3) that cut the lead to 3 late in the 3rd.

Ramaz 55 JEC 43

Alon Sidi led the Rams (1-0; 2-2) with 17 points, Asaf Seinfeld had 13 and Emanuel Kushner added 10. The Thunder are 1-2, 0-1 in the league.

North Shore H.A. 64 Barkai 29

Benji Levian scored 15 points and Andrew Kohanim added 12 as the Lions (1-0; 5-1) ruined the first ever Yeshiva League varsity game for the Suns (0-1; 0-3).

Girls

SOUTHEAST

Margolin 30 DeSoto Christian 22

Yona Lichter scored 11 points for the Macs in their season opener.

Izzy Nadtrich led the Cougars (2-0) with 14 points, Evelyn Fried added 12 and Zoe Levy had 10. The Cobras are 0-1.
