GIRLS

YESHIVA LEAGUE

Frisch 57 SKA 43

Samantha Pruzansky scored 26 points and Izzy Nadtrich added 16 as the #2 Cougars (19-1) won their 13th straight game and capped an undefeated league season with a win in the championship game. Prizansky and fellow senior Galil Neuer (6 points/12 rebounds) were co-MVPs. The defending champ #6 Sonics (11-4), appearing in their third straight league final, were led by Daphna Steinmetz with 23 points but had their 7-game win streak snapped.

BOYS

NORTHEAST

Haldane 64 Leffell 49

The #22 Lions (14-9) finally found their offense in the 2nd half but it wasn’t enough to overcome a 23-point halftime deficit as they fell to the top-seed defending champs in the Section 1 Class C title game. Russell Wechsler led Leffell with 15 points, Will Hirsch added 12 and Noam Andron had 10.

WEST

Denver Jewish Day 52 Front Range Baptist 41

The defending state champion Tigers (18-3) beat their division rivals to win the CHSAA 1A-Region 3 title and return to the state quarterfinals. Keenan Winnerman led the way with 18 points and Solly Bielsky and Lev Friedman added 12 each.

NORTHEAST

Maimonides 59 Lunenburg 55

The #9 M-Cats (25-1) extended their win streak to 25 games and reached the Sweet 16 in the MIAA Division 4 state playoffs for the first time ever. Nate Weinstock led Maimo with 19 points, Raanan Gewurz added 14 and Josh Canner had 12.

CANADA

King David HS 72 Ecole Gabrielle Roy 60

Arel Steen scored 28 points, Kristian Galazka added 18 and Orian Yona had 12 as the Lions (9-6) won in the semifinals of the GVISAA playoffs.

Maple Ridge Christian 71 King David HS 64

The Lions (9-7) fell in the GVISAA championship game despite 18 points from Paul Zychlinski, 16 from Kristian Galazka and 14 from Eitan Arazi.

WEST

Denver Jewish Day 57 South Baca 46

The #25 Tigers (17-3) began their quest to repeat as state champions with a home win to reach the CHSAA 1A-3 regional final.

BOYS

YESHIVA LEAGUE

North Shore H.A. 38 TABC 24

Jordan Zarka scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Ben Abizadeh had 13 points, 13 rebounds as the #14 Lions (16-16) won their fourth straight game to give the Eastern Conference all four slots in the semifinals. The loss snapped an 11-game win streak for the #7 Storm (14-5) who struggled all night offensively. Points were also hard to come by for North Shore, who put it away with eight points in the final minute. .

GIRLS

YESHIVA LEAGUE

Ilan 51 SKA 44

Talia Zucker scored 17 points and Shula Abadi added 15 as the Invaders (14-0) capped off an undefeated season with their second straight Varsity B championship.

Raanan Gewurz scored 19 points, Nate Weinstock added 12 and Avi Schwartz had 11 as the #9 M-Cats (24-1) won their 24th game in a row and advanced to the 2nd round of the MIAA Division 4 playoffs.

SOUTHEAST

Katz YHS 56 Donna Klein Jewish Academy 29

The Storm (15-9) won in the final of the South Florida J-Ball Classic.

MIDWEST

Aurora Christian 64 Rochelle Zell 56

The #5 Tigers (23-8) led by as many as 10 in the first half but fell in the IHSA 1A sectional semifinals.

Reimer Road 88 Fuchs Mizrachi 83

Nate Jacobs scored 32 points, Moshe Jacobs added 14 and Elisha Pizam had 12 for the #21 Mayhem (14-8).

CALIFORNIA

Scripps Ranch 60 YULA 52

In the opening round of the CIF Division 3 Southern Regional, the 11th seeded Panthers (22-13) struggled late with the #6 Falcons’ press and were outscored 14-2 to end the game.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

HAFTR 65 Ramaz 52

Kevin Levy and James Goldschmiedt each scored 15 points and the visiting Hawks (16-15) dominated from behind the arc with 14 treys to earn a semifinal matchup with #1 Magen David.

Flatbush 69 Ohr Yisroel 47

Beni Keda scored 18 points to lead five players in double figures and the Falcons (23-4) overcame a double-digit 1st quarter deficit to win going away and reach the semifinals. Isaac Cooper had 13 points, Ronnie Chaaya added 11 and Solly Gadeh and Darren Kassin each scored 10.

GIRLS

YESHIVA LEAGUE

SKA 48 North Shore H.A. 46

Daphna Steinmetz scored 27 points including the game-winning pull-up in the lane with :02 left as the defending champ Sonics (11-3) won their seventh straight game and a third straight trip to the Varsity A final.

St. Bede 70 Ida Crown 54

The #3 Aces (17-4) saw their 15-game win streak end in the IHSA 1A state quarterfinals, the farthest a Jewish high school team, girls or boys, has ever gotten in Illinois. Talia Linzer led Ida Crown with 19 points, Ilana Schwartz added 15 and Daria Lennon had 10.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

Frisch 46 Ma’ayanot 25

The #2 Cougars (18-1) won their 12th straight game to reach the championship game as Zoey Levy scored 14 points and Izzy Nadtrich and Galil Neuer added 10 each. The #10 Rapids end the season 9-5.

BOYS

YESHIVA LEAGUE

Magen David 77 SAR 57

Joshua Chabbott’s 22 points, including five 1st half 3-pointers, led four players in double figures as the #1 Warriors (33-2) won their 19th straight game to reach the semifinals. Mark Sardar added 17 points, Jack Haber had 15 and Moses Smeke scored 14. Jonathan Itzhaki paced the #24 Sting (9-13) with 19 points and Sam Weiss added 13.

SOUTHEAST

Katz YHS def Jewish Academy

The Storm (14-9) won in the 4-team inaugural South Florida J-Ball Classic.

Donna Klein Jewish Academy 66 H.A. Miami 55

Josh Matheson scored 18 points, Joey Siemens added 14 and Jason Lewin had 13 as the Eagles (11-11) beat the #13 Warriors (17-11) to reach the final of the South Florida J-Ball Classic.
