Aiden Bitran scored 41 points, including a pair 3-pointers to tie the game at the end of the first overtime, as the #4 Firehawks (24-10) won in the CIF-SS 2AA opening round. The game was a committee-forced matchup of Shalhevet coach Ryan Coleman and his son, Calabasas star guard Grayson Coleman, who kept the Coyotes in it with 27 points including 17 in the 4th quarter and first OT.

Jack Silberstein scored 28 points for the second straight game and Ethan Abeles added 21 for the Lions (13-11).

Kehillah Jewish 60 Pacific Bay Christian 52

Bodhi Gemello scored 23 points and Ittai Kohavi added 21 as the Rams (12-2) won their sixth straight game.

In the opening round of the playoffs, the Sting (9-12) showed their season-ending win over the Cougars (12-7) to get into the postseason was no fluke.

Gabriel R’bibo scored 20 points and Levi Banon added 11 but the #7 Wolfpack (23-6) had their 9-game win streak snapped in the opening round of the CIF-SS Div 4AA playoffs.

Shirel Kashimallak had 20 points, 13 rebounds and Dillan Haghighat scored 15 points as the #13 Lions (15-7) won their seventh straight game to advance to the semifinals. Liv Solomon had 20 points for the #5 Sting (10-6).

Josh Matheson, Joey Siemens and Jason Lewin each had 15 points and Tal Kessous (14) and Michael Bettan (11) also scored in double figures as the 4th-seeded Eagles (10-10) beat the 5th seed in the quarterfinals of the District 2A-15 playoffs.

Sam Weichbrodt scored 23 points, Joe Benoliel added 17 and Evan Kaufthal had 11 but the Lions (8-11) fell to the top seed in the SeaTac League semifinals. They will start Tri-District play Saturday night.

Jack Silberstein led the Lions (12-11) with 28 points.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

TABC 53 Ramaz 48

Ayden Gurin scored 15 points and Eyal Kinderlehrer added 13 as the #8 Storm (12-2; 14-4) clinched 1st in the West, stretched their win streak to 11 games and swept the season series from the #10 Rams (10-4; 22-13).

Magen David 66 HAFTR 61

The #1 Warriors (13-1; 32-2) had already clinched the top seed in the East and the #20 Hawks (9-5; 14-15) were locked into 4th. All that was on the line was Magen David’s win streak and they extended it to 18 games after blowing a 21-point lead, recovering and sealing the contest with free throws down the stretch. Mark Sardar led them with 27 points, 14 rebounds and Joshua Chabbott added 17 points. Kevin Levy hit six treys en route to 25 points for HAFTR, Ness Salem added 12 points and James Goldschmeidt had 10.

Ohr Yisroel 69 Hillel 29

Yirmi Gross’ 17 points led four players in double figures for the Flames (8-6; 8-8) as they clinched a playoff spot for the first time. Shmooze Rosen added 14 points, Reuven Rozehzadeh had 13 and JJ Waldman scored 12. The Heat end the season 7-14, 5-9 in the league.

JEC 68 Waterbury Yeshiva 64

The Thunder (7-7; 10-16) stayed alive briefly but missd out on the playoffs when Ohr Yisroel won. The Wolfpack (5-9; 6-11) make the playoffs in the East despite being well below .500.

HANC 65 Heschel 56

The Hurricanes (3-11; 5-17) end their season on a high note beating the playoff-bound Heat (9-5; 13-8).

The game was tied at halftime but the top seeded #4 Aces (12-3) pulled away in the second half to win their 10th straight contest and reach the championship game of the Chicago Prep Conference tournament. Ilana Schwartz led Ida Crown with 18 points, Talia Linzer added 12 and Rena Neiger had 11.
