The #6 Panthers (11-8) fell in pool play at the San Gabriel Winter Classic.

The Lions (5-4) cut a 24-point 3rd quarter deficit to 8 but fell short to the hosts in pool play at the Estancia Coast Classic. Yonah Light had 21 points and 19 rebounds and Graydon Carpet scored 10 points.

Flatbush 84 Waterbury Yeshiva 36

#2 Falcons (12-1; 21-2) raced out to a big early lead and were never threatened. Wolfpack fall to 4-9, 3-7 in the league.

Frisch 60 Hillel 54

Ezra Berkowitz’s putback and free throw with :35 left was the difference after the #12 Cougars (10-2; 12-4) blew an 11-point 3rd quarter lead and twice found themselves behind in the final two minutes. Berkowitz led Frisch with 18 points, Roni Heumann added 15 and Noah Fischman scored 13. Eli Braha led the Heat (4-7; 6-12) with 24 points and Bobby Sigoura added 14.

The #15 Hawks improve to 7-3 in the league, 9-11 overall. The Ravens are now 1-10.

The Lions (1-9; 2-12) get out of the cellar with their first league win. The Cobras are now 1-11.

Sam Jacobsen hit two free throws with :15 left to give the #3 Firehawks (16-4) their eighth straight win and send them into the quarterfinals of the St. Francis Holiday Hoopfest. Aiden Botran led Shalhavet with 24 points and Jacobsen finished with 18.

Aiden Buchbinder’s 24 points led five players in double figures for the #16 Wildcats (5-5; 8-6), who got back to .500 in league play. Adir Sacknovitz added 17 points, Joe Aaron scored 13 and Aaron Toobian and Shmuel Fine each scored 11. The Hurricanes are 1-11, 1-9 in the league.

Hillel 66 JEC 48

Eli Braha scored 24 points, Marty Cohen added 15 and Joey Kassin had 12 to lead the Heat (4-6; 6-11), who were never threatened in the second half. Gavi Walzman scored 12 points for the Thunder (5-5; 8-9).
