Yalee Schwartz scored 39 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and Arielle Grossman added 15 points as the Firehawks (17-3) won in the quarterfinals of the White Division of the West Coast Holiday Classic at Burbank.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

SKA 43 Central 21

Ilona Bitton led the Sonics (7-3) with 11 points.. Wildcats are 0-11.

Ma’ayanot 34 Hillel 19

Ayelet Eizikovitz had 10 points to lead the Rapids (6-3). The Heat now 2-8.

CALIFORNIA

Santa Monica 42 YULA 35

Shira Abramson scored 20 points but the Panthers (15-7) fell in the opening round of the West Coast Holiday Classic.

Shalhevet 51 Highland 45

Yalee Schwartz and Arielle Grossman each scored 21 points as the Firehawks (16-3) won an out-bracket game at the West Coast Holiday Classic.

BOYS

CALIFORNIA

Shalhevet 46 North Torrance 44

Sam Jacobsen hit two free throws with :15 left to give the #3 Firehawks (16-4) their eighth straight win and send them into the quarterfinals of the St. Francis Holiday Hoopfest. Aiden Botran led Shalhavet with 24 points and Jacobsen finished with 18.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

DRS 88 HANC 45

Aiden Buchbinder’s 24 points led five players in double figures for the #16 Wildcats (5-5; 8-6), who got back to .500 in league play. Adir Sacknovitz added 17 points, Joe Aaron scored 13 and Aaron Toobian and Shmuel Fine each scored 11. The Hurricanes are 1-11, 1-9 in the league.

Hillel 66 JEC 48

Eli Braha scored 24 points, Marty Cohen added 15 and Joey Kassin had 12 to lead the Heat (4-6; 6-11), who were never threatened in the second half. Gavi Walzman scored 12 points for the Thunder (5-5; 8-9).

Moshe Presberg led the Stingers (4-1) with 20 points and Daniel Yudewitz added 19.

Ohr Yisroel 48 YDE 45

The Flames (6-5; 6-7) ended the game on a 6-0 run, all on free throws by Reuven Rozehzadeh in the final 90 seconds. He led them with 15 points and Ezra Stern added 13. The Thunder drop to 4-5 in the league, 5-7 overall.

YULA 62 Valley Torah 49

Yoni Hollender and Yishai Rosenblatt each scored 13 points and the #8 Panthers (11-7) used six 2nd half 3-pointers to break open a close game. Ethan List led the #7 Wolfpack (13-4) with 23 points.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

TABC 40 Frisch 36

The year’s first Battle of Bergen goes to the #12 Storm (6-2; 8-4), who got 13 points from Eyal Kinderlehrer and 10 from Yonah Mandel in winning their fifth straight game. Ezra Berkowitz had 14 points to lead the #11 Cougars (9-2; 11-4), who had their 4-game win streak snapped.

DRS 47 Waterbury Yeshiva 43

Key battle for playoffs was close throughout with the #16 Wildcats (4-5; 7-6) taking the lead for good early in the 4th quarter and holding on. The Wolfpack drop to 4-8, 3-6 in the league.

Dani Leifer led the Sonics (6-3) with 11 points. The Hurricanes (3-7; 4-7) were playing without two starters.
