Lilly Yalovsky scored 19 points and Maddie Winton added 10 as the Bulldogs (6-1) won their fourth straight.

CHAT 46 Beth Tfiloh 26

Samara Glazer led the Tigers with 23 points. Grace Cohen led the Warriors with 16 points.

HANC 47 BOYAR 25

HANC 40 Heschel 18

Alana Rubensohn led the Hurricanes (3-4) with 10 points.

Beth Tfiloh 54 Boyar 52

Dalia Leibowitz hit two free throws to give the Warriors the win. Grace Cohen led Beth Tfiloh with 18 points, Leibowitz added 14 and Paige Glick had 13.

CHAT 44 Yavneh Dallas 38

Carmel Baratz had 9 points to lead the Tigers (10-1). The Bulldogs (6-2) had their 4-game win streak snapped despite 15 points from Maddie Winton and 13 from Natalie Emmet.

Yalee Schwartz scored 12 points and Arielle Grossman added 10 to lead the Firehawks (9-0).

The Wildcats improved to 3-3.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

SKA 51 Flatbush 37

Simona Goldberg and Daphna Steinmetz scored 17 points each to lead the Sonics (5-0) Merle Kassab had 15 points for the Falcons (3-1).

Weiner Tournament returns in Baltimore

November 30, 2022

The 34th annual Florence and Joseph Weiner Memorial Basketball Tournament tips off on Wednesday, the first time Beth Tfiloh has been able to have the event since 2019 before Covid.

In addition to the host Warriors, the girls and boys fields will feature the Mae Boyar Lions from Jerusalem, the CHAT Tigers, HANC Hurricanes, Heschel Heat and Yavneh Dallas Bulldogs.

Round robin play begins with the first three girls games at 3:30 and the boys games starting at 5:00. All the teams play each other through Friday morning and the top four teams qualify for the semifinals that day in each tournament. The consolation, 3rd Place and Championship games are on Saturday night.

The Cougars are now 8-1, 4-0 in the league. The Sting drop to 3-1 and 5-3 overall.

Danielle Abelson scored 16 points to lead four players in double figures for the Wildcats (1-3, 2-5), who overcame Rachel Sedaghat’s 38 points for the Lions (0-4). Central’s Laura Nagler added 14 points, Eliana Leitner had 13 and Gitty Kahn scored 10.

Mikel Biton scored 24 points, Jaden Shir had 17 and Gideon Greenberg added 11 as the #14 Rams (3-2) avenged an earlier loss to the #8 Storm (6-2). Yuval Ovaknin led Katz with 18 points.

Hebrew Academy Miami 57 International Studies 44

The #22 Warriors (5-4) won their fourth straight game behind 20 points from Alon Perez, 18 from Ben Farkas and 14 from Owen Ebner.

The Eagles improved to 4-0.

Michael Galeck scored 25 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer with :11 left as the #11 Jaguars won in pool play at the Milken Classic. Max Creditor added 17 points for deToledo.

Aiden Bitran scored 20 points and Sam Jacobsen added 16 to lead the #1 Firehawks (11-2) to their third straight win.

Ari Varon scored 12 points to lead four players in double figures for the Lions (2-2). Isaac Joelson added 11 points and Yonah Light and Ryan Baron had 10 each.

The #4 Wildcats (4-0; 13-0) jumped out to a 20-5 lead and never looked back. Alex Millstone led DRS with 17 points, Stephen Olshin added 13 and Isaac Solomon had 10. The Kings dropped to 0-7, 0-5 in the league.

Magen David 61 HAFTR 34

The #6 Warriors (4-1; 7-2) pulled away in the 2nd half after leading by only six at the break. Asher Melamed scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Flatbush 70 Rambam 25

The #12 Falcons (3-2; 4-3) led 23-0 after the opening quarter. Steven Fuchs led Flatbush with 11 points and Beni Keda added 10. The Ravens fell to 1-3.

Ben Farkas scored 23 points and David Saka grabbed 14 rebounds to go with 7 points to lead the #22 Warriors (4-4) to their third straight win.

The Eagles (3-0) led 15-0 at the end of the 1st quarter and were never threatened.

In pool play at the Milken Classic, the #9 host Wildcats (4-2) held off the #11 Jaguars behind 24 points from Nick Dardashti. Ben Geffner and Michael Galeck each scored 12 points for deToledo (4-2) and Max Creditor added 10.

Shalhevet 71 Holy Martyrs 56

Nathan Sellam led the #1 Firehawks (10-2) with 21 points. Avi Halpert added 17 points and Aiden Bitran scored 16.

AGBU 65 YULA 47

Daniel Yasharpour and Yoni Holender each scored 12 points for the #6 Panthers (9-4).

Valley Torah 98 Monrovia 67

Noam Mayouhas scored 30 points, Johny Dan added 22 and Ethan List had 19 as the #2 Wolfpack (9-2) hit 18 3-poimters and just missed the century mark in their fifth straight win.

YESHIVA LEAGUE

Magen David 49 Waterbury Yeshiva 47

Jesse Cohen fed Asher Melamed for the game-winning layup just before the buzzer as the #6 Warriors (3-1; 6-2) rallied from five down midway through the 4th quarter for the win. Melamed finished with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Mark Sardar added 12 points. The Wolfpack fell to 1-3.

TABC 64 MTA 48

The #21 Storm (3-1; 3-4) opened the game with the first 13 points and never trailed. The Lions (1-4) managed to get within three in the opening minutes of the 3rd quarter but TABC pulled away after that.

GIRLS

YESHIVA LEAGUE

Ramaz 48 Heschel 12

Leila Sakhai led the Rams (2-3; 3-6) with 11 points. The Heat are now 0-5.
