Jacob Steinmetz scored 20 points, including three free throws in the final :18 to seal it, as the #9 Hawks rallied to beat the #1 Warriors. Matthew Jedwab added 17 points for HAFTR (8-2 League; 17-6 Overall) and Avi Rokosz had 12. The loss marked the second straight week that the new #1 team in the JHA National Top 25 lost. Elliot Dweck led Magen David (10-2; 18-3) with 24 points and Albert Nsiri had 18. The Warriors could have all but clinched the East Division title - but now HAFTR, DRS and Shaare Torah remain in the hunt.

The #3 Firehawks (9-10) had their 4-game win streak snapped in the semifinals of the Ventura Kiwanis Classic. Zeev Remer scored 10 points for Shalhevet.

HAFTR 75 YDE 40

The #9 Hawks (8-2; 18-6) led by 14 at the half and used an 11-0 run to start the 3rd quarter to put the game out of reach. The Thunder dropped to 6-7, 5-6 in the league, only half a game over surging Flatbush for the final East Division playoff spot.
