Turell then led a rally with 11 straight points and by the end of the quarter the gap was down to three. But Santa Clarita Christian regained its momentum early in the fourth and hung on to remain undefeated in Heritage League play.

The Cougars (7-7) let a 12-point halftime lead evaporate in an 18-4 third quarter but got to overtime, where they hit 6-of-8 from the free throw line. Gabe Bryant scored 19 points, Ben Bernstein addd 17 and Jacob Felger had 12.

Jared Scheff scored 31 points - including seven of his team's eight points in the second overtime - and Adam Goldstein added 12 as the Lions (7-6) avenged an earlier loss to one of their league's top teams. Schechter led by five at the half but trailed by five heading to the fourth.
