Looks like a yeshiva league semifinals to me.

North Shore
HANC
Ramaz
Heschel

Who from out of town is beating any of those teams?

Tarbut might have beaten one or two of those teams last year, but didn't they lose some of their best players.
How is that North Carolina school? Does anyone know anything about them?

don't know anything about that north carolina school, but i know Heschel and ramaz are going to tear up this tourney and make some big noise

Heschel and Ramaz do not play during the season, so it looks this rivalry (barring a playoff matchup) will only meet in a non-league game, at a neutral site. Which sounds pretty awesome, and official to average YL fan. Then again, I am no average fan so i'll be going wild when these two teams meet. Everyone should listen to the live broadcasts they will be having online

get ya popcorn ready! b/c kasman is lookin to throw down mad buckets with his partner in crime, eezy ellenberg.

Not sure what you meant there - were you saying that Ramaz-Heschel not playing during the season is awesome? It's a natural crosstown rivalry that begs for home and homes every year

I can't verify this for sure, but I have heard from more than one source that American Hebrew Academy from North Caolina has two Israeli guards that are Divison 2 caliber players.

Also, while Ramaz and Heschel are no doubt favorites, I wouldn't count out Benjy Ritholz and the HANC Hurricanes.

regarding rivalrys....i dont understand how league administrators made the scheduling this year. to take away inter league play and natural rivalrys is insane. i understand that the econmy caused the schools to force ways to save money...so they reduced travel and now have teams playing each other home/home and two teams within the division three time! the solution wasnt a good one and confines a great league with great players to there own division other than outside tournaments. my vote for next season is more inter league play!

While yall are arguing please lets not forget the Cooper Macs who won the tourny last year and may be longshots... but lets not forget the home crowd of over 200 who will go wild and the chance to repeat... expect a fight

Glaiser you are right that we are going to win it all but i don't appericate your lack of respect for reffs in general. Its apparent that you werent good enough to win it last year dont cry and blame it on the reffs.
That being said we will no doubt win it this year we have the coach in the yeshiva world in josh kahane. He recently ran drills that made everyone just know it is our year. Issac Krupp you are right he challenges anyone to be named the best point gaurd in high- school. He has amazing speed, ball handling, he shoot is not the best but makes up for it in heart.
Mendell- will be unstoppable when he drives to the basket and we havent even started talking about the sick defense that we will be getting from Chertok.
That recipe equals another championship no doubt in 2009 bring another home for Josh kahane
Bob johnson will back up my words
