Like most careers, coaching is a profession that requires continuing education. Just about any philosophy that you think is perfect can be changed by the addition or subtraction of a 68 post player with great footwork or a shooting guard that can really light it up. I think that is what makes this job so much fun. No matter how bad it seems in February, we are all 0-0 when October rolls around.

Basketball is dying in America and dying fast. I remember in junior high and high school watching the Knicks play strong team defense in the early-mid 90's. The NBA was great back then. I didn't have cable TV back then so it was always the radio for me with the Knicks. They'd be on the West Coast playing at 10:30pm and I'd have my radio on the lowest possible volume so my parents would think I was sleeping.
